Trilliant Inc., a player in open solutions for advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), has renewed its smart meter partnership with Varitron Technologies, which is involved in electronic manufacturing services (EMS).
This partnership, they say, has already generated over 150 high-tech
jobs at both Varitron and Trilliant on Montreal’s South Shore. It is
expected that even more jobs will be created, filling the needs of the
future projects currently in the planning. Just this month, Varitron
hit a milestone with the manufacture of two million smart meters for
Trilliant.
“The expertise that we have developed over the past 10 years with
Trilliant has made it possible to create high-tech jobs in Quebec,”
said Michel Farley, president and owner of Varitron. “We feel
optimistic that the current market conditions we’re now seeing in
Canada, and worldwide, will generate more job creation.”
