December 6, 2016 – Intertek has issued a warning about certain electric radiant heating panels bearing an unauthorized ETL certification mark for Canada. The products have only been evaluated by Intertek for the United States and it is not known if they comply with any safety requirements for Canada.

These products are manufactured by MP Global Products and are described as “quiet warmth, electric radiant heating panels” with model number QW1505-120 and control number 3050800. The products are known to be sold at www.mpproducts.com and may have been sold by other retailers, according to Intertek.

Products should not be used and returned to the point of purchase. Distributors and retailers should discontinue sales and return all inventories to their supplier.

Intertek says the number of units affected by this warning is unknown.
