Werock Rockbook X540 and X550 G2 rugged notebooks

February 7, 2023 – Pforzheim, Germany-based Werock launched two rugged notebooks for field service personnel.

The Rockbook X540 and X550 G2 laptops come with 11th-generation Intel Core processors (up to i7) and up to 32 GB of RAM. They include options for LTE and 5G, and boast Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and can be used with all major GPS navigation systems.

Both devices feature expansion options such as the NVMe main memory, which is available in various configurations up to 1 TB; a hard drive slot enables the expansion by another 5 TB of storage capacity, and flexible data transfer is possible via the SDXC card slot.

The  X540 and X550 G2 weigh 2.85 kg and 3.3 kg, respectively, and come with two batteries: a 46.6-Wh hot-swap battery and an additional fixed 14.8-Wh battery (the devices remain fully functional during battery replacement).
