Workwear for tradeswomen: Dirty Seahorse Zenith overalls

March 26, 2024 | By Anthony Capkun

March 26, 2024 – Designed for women in the trades, Dirty Seahorse’s Zenith overalls boast thick, water-resistant Cordura front panels, a cinch waist that can expand up to 4 inches for additional layering and/or pregnancy.

The overalls are made from cotton (97%) and elastane (3%), come with 14 pockets (including one for feminine hygiene products), and double cuffs on the back of the legs to prevent fraying.

Dianne Finnigan, founder of Dirty Seahorse, launched the brand after being unable to find properly fitting workwear for her daughter in masonry school.

“Current [women’s] workwear is a scaled down version of men’s workwear,” explains Finnigan. To get it right, “We involved women in the trades, surveying and polling what they wanted and needed in their workwear; we took their ideas and translated them into our garments.”
