July 14, 2023 – Effective January 1, 2024, the International Association of Electrical Inspectors will officially be known as the Independent Alliance of the Electrical Industry.

Established in 1928, IAEI is “committed to public safety from electrical hazards by providing expert, unbiased leadership in electrical code and standards development and premier education and certification for electrical professionals”.

“We believe this rebranding effort will better resonate with our members, partners, and stakeholders, ultimately propelling us forward towards new opportunities,” said Rudolph Garza, president & CEO. “Just because we are changing our name doesn’t mean we are changing who we have been since 1928. We have, are, and forever will be the voice of electrical code enforcement.”

According to IAEI (acronym stays the same), the rebranding effort aims to align the company’s visual identity, messaging, and values with its current and future objectives.

“The IAEI bylaws, articles of incorporation, board structure, legal corporate name, membership structure, strategic direction, mission, and purpose will all remain exactly the same, but under a new brand.”

The current IAEI logo will remain the same. Existing contracts, agreements, and partnerships will remain in effect without any changes or disruptions.

The rebranding also offers new avenues for growth and expansion, says IAEI, as the company explores emerging markets and opportunities.
