October 18, 2011 – Strategy Institute is hosting its first Electric Vehicle & Infrastructure Summit in Toronto, Ont., February 2012, and Electrical Business Will Be There as a Media Partner.

“We are at a crucial time when market acceptance of this new technology will depend on the ability of leaders to work together across sectors in support of infrastructure developments,” said Andrew Bowerbank, special advisor of Advanced Energy Systems at Magna Closures. “Consumers need to have confidence that EVs are the next big wave.”

Strategy Institute’s EV Summit will bring together those very leaders that are capable of shaping and accelerating the growth of Canada’s electric vehicles industry: municipal, provincial, and federal leaders, utilities, charging station providers, and public and private fleet managers.

The speaker roster includes authorities as Brian Beck from the City of Vancouver, Ivano Labricciosa of Toronto Hydro, and Mark Simon from NYC’s Department of Transportation.

The conference promises to provide “real-world information”, says Kevin McLaughlin, president of AutoShare. “Because EVs are already here, this is no longer about ‘what might’ but about ‘what have we learned so far’.”
