November 15, 2023: Rick Vascotto, executive vice-president of sales (Eastern Canada) with ECS Electrical Cable Supply, announced he is retiring.

“It has been an incredible time working alongside such talented and dedicated individuals,” said Vascotto. “I’m grateful for the experiences, support, and camaraderie we’ve shared through my time with this great company.”

Vascotto’s electrical industry career started in the 1980s at Gerrie Electric Wholesale Ltd. In 1985, he moved to Canron Pipe (now IPEX), where he was responsible for electrical sales in Eastern and Northern Ontario.

He then spent about 26 years with Nexans, specializing in utility sales and, eventually, earning the position of vice-president, Energy Infrastructure, for North America. Vascotto then had stints at Southwire Canada and TE Connectivity before joining ECS in 2019.
