Aug. 22, 2019 – IPEX, an Aliaxis company that manufactures thermoplastic piping systems for North American customers in the electrical and other sectors, has entered an agreement to acquire Silver-Line Plastics (SLP).

Shareholders in SLP, which manufactures plastic pipe products in Asheville, N.C., Lawton, Okla., and Fort Pierce, Fla., have agreed to a share purchase agreement, pursuant to which the acquisition will be finalized. The sale is subject to regulatory approval, but both parties anticipate a completion of the transaction over the coming weeks.

While IPEX already has manufacturing and distribution centres across North America, the acquisition will expand its product portfolio and client base.

“SLP has a strong reputation in the marketplace for supplying high-quality products,” says Alex Mestres, CEO of IPEX. “This acquisition will significantly contribute to our growth objectives.”

“The synergies between our two companies will provide a broader product offering, increased focus on customer service and technology strengths that are world-class,” says Ricky Silver, SLP’s CEO. “I cannot imagine a better fit.”
