Omni Cable Corporation (OmniCable) has announced it has promoted Chip Barrett to vice president of supply chain and business development. In this role, Barrett is responsible for the company’s purchasing, supply chain and business development departments.

Barrett has been with OmniCable since late 2017 as director of business development. During his first year at the company, he successfully led the implementation and expansion of the company’s product initiatives and developed additional vendor partnerships.

“Chip has a wealth of management experience in the wire and cable industry,” said Greg Donato, OmniCable’s chief operating officer.

Before joining OmniCable, Barrett worked at General Cable for 12 years, with the first eight years in the U.S. managing the P&Ls of the electronics, Datacom and broadcast business units and the last four in Europe, managing the European supply chain of Spain, Portugal and France.
