Panasonic may collaborate with Tesla on PV cells & modules

October 28, 2016 – Earlier this month, Panasonic says it signed a non-binding letter of intent with Tesla Motors to discuss possible collaboration on the production of PV (photovoltaic) cells and modules for the North American market at a factory in Buffalo, N.Y., under the Tesla umbrella.
Panasonic says the collaboration would explore how to utilizing the strengths of both companies, namely vertically integrated PV cell and module manufacturing expertise alongside the Tesla’s sales capacity.
