RECALL: Peachtree Lighting recessed NON-IC type compact fluorescent luminaries

July 16, 2014 | By Alyssa Dalton

July 16, 2014 – Intertek is warning the public of a recall involving recessed NON-IC type downlight compact fluorescent luminaries manufactured by Peachtree Lighting, where the lights may overheat, causing the conductors to become brittle and the insulation to fall off.

The recalled lights have a label on the underside of the product and are identified by model/catalogue number PSFT (followed by additional digits/letters) and bear a cETLus certification mark.

Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.

The affected lights were manufactured prior to April 13, 2012. However, the time period sold is unknown, as is the number of lights sold.
