August 22, 2014 – UL is warning the market of the AstralEnergy 250W (Model AE-CR250WP) solar panel, which bears a counterfeit UL Mark for Canada and the United States. It has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate standards for safety.

The panel is manufactured by Engineered Systems Inc./AstralEnergy Solar Mfg. Co. of Windsor, Ont.

The product bears a label with a counterfeit UL Classification Mark and the following:

AstralEnergy 250W
High Density – Polycrystalline Solar Photovoltaic Panel
Model AE-CR250WP

Assembled in Windsor, Ontario, Canada by AstralENERGY
Solar Manufacturing Company Incorporated

It is known to be sold and installed by Engineered Systems Inc., but may have been sold by others.
